What is maximum hard disk drive capacity for HP laptop with manufacturer's number 150B5EA? I would like to install new disk and I wonder about max capacity of SSD. What type of disk can be supported (e.g. m.2)? If there is no way to have disk with more capacity, what is the max size of SD card that can be installed? Thank you!

The product number of your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel i7-1065G7 processor.

That means your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSDs.

With a NVMe SSD theoretically the sky's the limit as far as storage capacity is concerned as long as the drive is single sided so it fits in the SSD slot.

The Crucial SSD report indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB for the model series:

HP - Compaq HP 250 G7 (Intel Core i7/ i5/ i3) | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com

The notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.

A Gen 4.0 SSD will work but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from a Gen 3 slot.

Hi, thank you for your answer. I have bought Lexar 4TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe NM790 but I keep on receiving "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. BugCheckProgress was: 0x00040049" on Windows 11 from time to time. Earlier I have tried Linux Ubuntu but there were issues as well, e.g. "Failed to write entry to /var/log/journal/.../system.journal ... despite vacuuming, Ignoring: Input/output error". Do you know if this is because of my motherboard being not compatible with this disk or some other reason?

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what is causing the problem.

I would think that if a 4 TB drive was not supported, it wouldn't work at all, but I don't know for sure.
