Hello cpomuirgheasa.

 

This is a DDR4 system, so you can max out your laptop with 64GBs. This one year old discussion should provide the necessary info: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Victus-FA1018-nt-ram-upgrad... 

There is also this Amazon page where a very similar Victus 15-fa1xxx system with the same CPU you have is sold with 64GB RAM: Amazon 15-fa1657nr (64GB).
