I've tried to discover the maximum RAM capacity for my newly purchased laptop and couldn’t find the specs within the support page. The specification information only shows the original machine configuration, 8GB RAM. Is there a specific document to look for upgrade capability? Looked at the BIOS, it just shows what's installed not what it's maximum capacity is. My serial number on my HP support page assigns my machine model as "HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd0000 (70R02AV)" but the actual box shows "HP Laptop 15-fd0152wm Model 9C9A4UA#ABA". I've searched on Crucial's website and also on Kingston's website, no luck.
I’ve been a Dell person most my life and it’s always been able to easily find this type of information. Why is this so difficult to find? Any idea what RAM capacity this laptop is capable of and where did you find the information? Thank you!

It has a processor designed for 98 GB of ram but this model is not recommended to reach that you can put 64 GB, the service manual indicates 16 GB but that in general is not updated and is how these devices are commercialized.
Procesador Intel® Core™ i5-1334U
You can open a CMD window as administrator and type this command and check the ram capacity:
wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx

Thank you for your reply. I ran the CMD and it came back with "maxcapacityex 16777216" which is the 16 GB you mentioned. Given that this is what the machine is saying, are you still confident that it will recognize more than that before I pull the trigger on a RAM purchase? Thanks!

It should recognize the 64 GB, use a crucial scanner to be sure.
