So on the HP website I have found that the HP Pavilion 14-ec0537sa comes as standard with 2x4GB 3200Mhz modules however, I am unable to find the maximum supported capacity anywhere. I was hoping to upgrade this laptop to 16GB (2x8GB) if possible.
Can anyone confirm the maximum supported memory capacity of this system?

Here is your service Manual:
This is a bit detailed as laptops in this series with integrated video memory have two slots and dedicated video models have one. Yours is integrated (UMA) so has two slots. The Manual says the max is a pair of eight gig DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM modules but it is well proven on the Ryzen models such as yours, you can actually install a pair of 16 gb modules for 32 gigs total.
This memory will work fine and the page has options for 8 gb or 16 gb modules. Just stay away from Vengeance, Ripjaws or similar "gaming" or performance memory, which amazon will have for sale as they do not work well with HP notebooks. Stick with stock OEM stuff like Crucial or Hynix.
