HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0142tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0142tx and it came with 2*8 GB RAM 2933Mhz.  can I upgrade it to 32GB RAM?

I need 32GB in order to run Virtual Machine,

I am planning to purchase 2 sticks of 16GB RAM with 3200 Mhz. Will they work?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06634821

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

According to the manual, 2 x 16 GB of memory is supported.

DDR4-3200 MHz memory should work fine.

Thank you very much.

 In the manual it says

Support for 2933 DDR4 , 1.2 V, upgradeable, system memory in 32 GB (16 GB×2) and 16 GB (8 GB×2)
configurations

So can I use 16GB sticks with 3200Mhz? or should I buy 2666Mhz?

Since I have to order via Amazon, sometimes seller wont accept refund on RAM even if they do not suit or work on our laptop. Hence asking these questions. Thanks for your quick reply and really appreciate your assistance.

Cheers,

Manju
