HP ENVY x360 Convertible X8M13EA#ABU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

OK, I posted before about this but now I'm beginning to question the model I have. I bought a HP Envy X360 15-ar052na on eBay but in HP Support Assistant the serial number indicates that its a HP Envy X360 15-ar052sa. However, my laptop has no SSD. The last time I requested information about the maximum upgradable RAM and I was told it was not upgradeable at all. I ran HP's Operating System Diagnostics tool and it stated that my laptop has 2 RAM slots, that it's only using 8GB in one of them and that it is upgradable to 64GB. This is confirmed in HP Support Assistant, where it also states 1 slot is being used by 8GB. Finally, I used CPU-Z and it found 2 slots too, with only one in use. So I guess I have 2 questions now. 1 Why is my laptop identifying as a different model? 2 Why is it not upgradable if it has an empty slot and HP Operating System Diagnostics said it is?

@Simon25 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to upgrade the memory.

I have checked the manual (page number1)

Your product has One SODIMM slot, non-accessible/non-upgradeable.

It Support for up to 10.0-GB maximum system memory in the following configuration

● 10240-MB: 8192-MB × 1 + on-board 2048-MB (256-MB × 16 × 4 pieces)

● 8192-MB: 8192-MB × 1

● 6144-MB: 4096-MB × 1 + on-board 2048-MB (256-MB × 16 × 4 pieces)
