Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06719946
According to the manual, your notebook supports 1 x 8 GB of memory since it has the E2 processor.

Hello, Paul_Tikkanen,
thank you for the quick answer and the informations.
The link to the service manual isn't working.
I guess that's the problem, the service manual is deleted and i couldn't open it.
With best regards

You're very welcome.
That must have just happened because it was working when I posted the link.
Anyway, your notebook has one memory slot and the max is 1 x 8 GB.
Here is a link to the video library for your PC which has several videos on how to open up the PC and remove and replace components.

Edit...I just clicked on the service manual link and it is working again.

Thank you very much.
Is there any german version of the service manual and the support videos? Because i'm from Germany.
The thing is, that there is conflicting information on the internet about the maximum amount of memory for this laptop.
Even an HP employee couldn't help me on Facebook Messenger because he couldn't find the service manual either.
So I bought 8 GB of RAM on suspicion, in the hope that it would work.
I'm pretty upset with HP's information policy regarding memory upgrades.
For your understanding: A friend of mine already helped me to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB. It was very hard to open the laptop case, because we didn't knew, that we had to remove the rubber lips to open the casing. Now there are several deep scratches on the edges of the case. Do you know how to repair / remove them?
With best regards

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, all of the service manuals/videos I have ever seen are in English.
I agree with you...if the manual was written in German, all I would have been able to do would be to look at the pictures.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know how to repair scratches to the case.
You may want to contact the HP executive team at the link below and ask them to please provide manuals in several major languages, and not just in English.
