The maximum is 64 GB of installed compatible memory.

which has been tested and validated, in the manual here so 32 gb
then you have the more or less reliable sources, which indicates what could be possible, based on the processor, type of chipset, etc.

now it's up to you, if you really need 64 gb of ram..
