Hello,
I would like to boost my trusty 2030eb Beats Edition Notebook music machine.
As seen in documentaion, the Sys card could'nt handle more than 8Go. (https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c02910548)
Buth both kernel and motherboard documentation are talking of 16Go ....
Some RAM-sellers are also ok for 16Go : https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/envy-14-2030eb-beats-edition#memory
Go
So, can I upgrade ? My feel is that it's okay and the limitation is for One socket only. And there's two ... 2x8=16Go.
Could you confirm ?

Hi:
Your notebook has two memory slots and each slot should take an 8 GB memory module.
See chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.
I don't understand why only the US models would support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

You could play it safe and order one 8 GB memory chip and add it to the existing one and if the PC boots up, runs fine and reports 12 GB of memory, then you can remove the other memory chip and add the second 8 GB memory chip and have 16 GB.
