I have an HP laptop model 15-db0015dx and want to upgrade my Ram to the full 8gb and I want to know what is the fastest speed it can handle.

Hi:

 

The fastest speed your notebook's A6-9225 processor can run the memory at is 1866 MHz.

 

Normally you would install an 8 GB DDR4-2400 memory chip in the slot after you replace the 4 GB chip.

 

Any memory faster than 1866 MHz automatically bridges to 1866 Mhz.

 

Below is the link to the service manual...chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.
