Its DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM and yes it has been reported 32 gigs will work i.e. 2 x 16 gb modules.
The Service Manual:
does list 16 gigs (2 x 😎 as the maximum but you find 3rd party resellers offering them with 32 gigs:

See p. 42 of the Service Manual here:
This is expensive and before you install 32 gigs make sure you need it. Very few computer users do anything that requires more than 16 gigs of RAM:

You need this if you edit video, edit large batches of high-res images, compile Code. Gaming does not need any more than 16 gigs.
