Hello,
I just received an HP Envy x360 15m-ds0023dx laptop that came configured with 8GB of memory (2 x 4GB memory dimms).
The owners manual lists two part numbers for support memory dimms - 4GB and 8GB:
Description Spare part number
8-MB, SODIMM, DDR4-2400, 1.2-V 862398-855
4-MB, SODIMM, DDR4-2400, 1.2-V 862397-855
This provides an option to physically configure the laptop with a total of 8GB or 16GB of memory by matching two of the same dimm capacities in a two dimm configuration.
My question is - Could I install two 16GB SODIMM modules for a total of 32GB of memory? Would the system physically support 32GB's? Or is there a BIOS support/configuration limitation that will only limit a maximum of 16GB of memory?
Thank you in advance.

Hi:
According to the crucial memory report for your PC, they say you can install 2 x 16 GB in your model.

The service manual states 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 GB is supported.

Crucial is usually right.
