HP Pavilion 14-bf050wm

I recently received the HP Pavilion 14-bf050wm laptop. I would like to know the maximum amount of ram that the laptop will take and the specific type and speed of the ram. I tried the chat earlier, without any luck. Thank you in advance.

You have a laptop with a 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor. It came with a single 8 gig module of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM (laptop memory) and has an open slot. It is DDR4-2400 memory but "bridges" to DDR4-2133 speed. The Service Manual:

Manual

says (page 1-2) it supports a maximum of 2 x 8 gig for 16 gigs total but well known here that you can, if you have some significant spare cash, run 2 x 16 gig for 32 gigs total.

See pages 27-28 and 32 for installation procedures.
