Product: Presario CQ61
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi,

I have a Presario CQ61, with latest BIOS

I purchased so RAm to got from2GB to 4GB, i got the closet match I could, the only difference is it says 2Rx8 and not 2Rx16.

 

when installed the Caps & Number Lock light ust flash 3 times then pause and 3 flashes.

 

The system fails to boot, and them memory seems to get very hot.

 

is this 2Rx* important or what.

Please not I am not trying to mix n match the ram

What is your Presario CQ61  ?  Many old machines need to have the right RAM.

do you mean age, i would say 2012ish.

 

its windows 7 machine

 

like i said its the exact memory aprt from the 2Rx* number

Again what is your machine ? I only have information for CQ61 from 2009 (September) that means nearly 10 years now. Vendors release new machines every second week.

 

The following RAM is compatible for cq61-411wm. Again, what is your machine ?
