Product: HP Laptop 15-db0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased this laptop new, around August 2018. I wanted to upgrade the memory to 16 gig, as it came with 6 gig i think it was. Anyways, contacted HP support who assured me this laptop had 2 dimm slots so i ordered 2 8 gig modules and attempted to install them, however, i only can find 1 dimm slot. I re-contacted HP support and they again assured me there are 2 dimm slots in this laptop. After looking around more, still could not find it so i installed 1 RAM module and returned the other one. 

 

Now today, 3 months later, i was curious about it again and ran CPU-Z which shows the RAM i did install in Slot #2 and Slot #1 being all blank.

 

Does anyone know if there are 2 slots in this laptop or not?

It all depends on what processor your notebook has...Some models in the db0000 model series have two memory slots, and some only have one.

 

See chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual below.

It has the A6, which shows as only having 1. Too bad HP Support couldn't tell me this, would have saved me some time researching and coming here.
