HP Pavilion x360 11-ad051nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade the memory of an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Model 11-ad051nr.  I know HP will say it is not upgradeable but I have already removed the installed module which is a DDR3L 4GB.  The memory is on the underside of the motherboard so I assume that is why they claim it is not upgradable.  Or maybe 4 GB is the max?  I want to install a larger module but want to know what the max able to be installed is.

Thanks,  DAVE

Hi, Dave:

The Pentium N4200 processor can support up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

So, you can remove the 4 GB chip and install an 8 GB chip.

The ' non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable' statement means that HP wants the work to be done by an authorized service center.

Chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Thanks!  I'm hoping the little bump of RAM and an SSD will boost this little machine.  It's just the loaner for the coffee table but it's so painfully slow 😕

You're very welcome.

Yes, both upgrades should help considerably.
