I want to upgrade the memory of an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Model 11-ad051nr. I know HP will say it is not upgradeable but I have already removed the installed module which is a DDR3L 4GB. The memory is on the underside of the motherboard so I assume that is why they claim it is not upgradable. Or maybe 4 GB is the max? I want to install a larger module but want to know what the max able to be installed is.
Thanks, DAVE

Hi, Dave:
The Pentium N4200 processor can support up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.
So, you can remove the 4 GB chip and install an 8 GB chip.
Intel® Pentium® Processor N4200 (2M Cache, up to 2.5 GHz) Product Specifications
Below is the link to the service manual. Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info...
The ' non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable' statement means that HP wants the work to be done by an authorized service center.
Chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.
