Is it possible to upgrade memory for this machine to 32GB?  If so, which memory modules should I use?  Also, this machine came with a regular hard-disk.  Can I upgrade to a m2 SSD disk?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2x16GB).

The RAM will run at 2133MHz.

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-16GBx2-PC4-19200-SODIMM-260-Pin/dp/B019FRCV9G/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2XM77T1...

Yes, the notebook offers support for M2 SATA3 and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSD

Example:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/envy-15-as133cl/CT13819902

Service manual:

Hope it helps,

Would you happen to know the max memory I can upgrade to?

HP Recommended

Max memory is 16GB in the service manual. However, HP DDR4 systems will run with 32GB of RAM. So, that would be the max.

David

I just upgraded my memory and so far everything is working properly.  But in order to open the bottom case, I had to remove the rubber strip.  There were 4 screws under that strip.  Would you happen to know how I can order a replacement?

Never mind my question.  I found the part # in the service manual.  Thanks for providing that in your last post.

I found the part number 905972-001 in the service manual, but I can't order it via the spare parts store.  Is there an alternate product that would work?
