My hp notebook has 2 gb memory and I purchased another two gb memory to install but could not find any slots after opening the cover?

Hi:

 

If you can't find a memory slot, most likely your notebook came with 2 GB of onboard system memory.

 

'Onboard' means the memory is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

This is often the case with the HP 14" Stream model notebooks.
