HP 17z-ca000 Product number 3QB09AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the manual (C05985614) for my Hp 17z-ca000 but, it doesn't reference a part number for the 1866 speed memory, only the 2400 speed.  The DDR4-1866 SX DRAM is very difficult to find.  Any suggestions would be helpful.

It's all the same as long as it is for notebook PC's.

If you are concerned about compatibility, here is the Crucial memory report for the ca100 model, which is covered under the same service manual as the ca000.

The amount of memory you can upgrade to depends on the processor.

Here is the link to the service manual.

If your notebook has two memory slots (determined by the processor it has), then this 16 GB kit should work just fine.

If it has a single memory slot, then you would replace the 4 GB chip and install an 8 GB chip in its place.

Hi:

PC4-2400 memory or PC4-2100 memory will work just fine.

It will downclock to the 1866 Mhz speed the processor can run the memory at.

Do I need to worry about the fact that it specifies the memory type as SDRAM, can is use DRAM instead?
