15-da0027ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello community,

I am currently using my HP laptop 15-da0027ns but I would like to see if it is possible or worthy  to increase the memory from 8GB (default config) to something more 🙂

If so, is this is something I can do by myself?

Thanks,

Federico

Hi, Federico:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

https://content.abt.com/documents/90195/15DA0046NR_manual.pdf

If your notebook has an Intel core processor, it has two memory slots and each slot can take an 8 GB memory module.

Chapter 6 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.

There is also a support video gallery which has several videos for removing and replacing the various components...

Hi Paul, since I have your attention, in your objective opinion, would you recommend to upgrade my device from 8 to 16? considering that my laptop is not so new i3 7020U CPU@230 GHz (7th Gen).

Hi:

Yes, I would definitely do it.

All you need to do is to add an 8 GB memory module to the existing one.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory module to add to the existing one...

There are two reasons for upgrading...

1. The obvious increase from 8 GB to 16 GB of memory.

2.  The not so obvious benefit of the memory now running in the higher performing dual channel mode since you have installed matching memory capacities in both slots.

Right now, the single 8 GB memory module is running in the lower performing single channel mode.
