HP 250 G5 (W5T33PT)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The specification listed on the retailers website is 'HP 250 G5 (W5T33PT), Core i5-6200U, 15.6" HD LED, 500GB HDD, 4GB DDR3L Ram, WLAN & BT Combo, DVD Supermulti, Windows 10, 1 Year Warranty'.

Can this model have the RAM upgraded to 8GB?

What memory type should be used, given:

- according to https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05078579, it shows DDR4 as the memory to be used with Core i5-6200U processors ??

Hi,

Either the retailer has put the wrong processor on the site or most likely has put the wrong type of RAM.

Anyway the computer with the i5-6200U processor can have up to a max of 16GB DDR4-2133Mhz RAM (2x8GB).

On page 6 and 56 of service manual you can see various configurations and steps to upgrade RAM

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05087748

You can choose the brand you want as long as it is DDR4-2133Mhz RAM

Hope it helps,

David

Thanks for your quick response.

I struggle where companies have multiple configurations in their specification documentation - its hard to actually correlate what features are available on a specific model (especially if they might be models destined for a particular country/zone) to that in the 'documents'.

I'm trying to ensure I don't waste my money buying a product I won't be able to upgrade RAM/SSD.

Appreciate your time replying. Best Regards
