HP Pavilion 15-cs1067nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade the memory in my HP Laptop Pavilion cs-1067n.

What type is it?

Max allowed?

How many slots?

Does each slot have to be the same memory specs?

Thx

The Crucial memory report indicates that your notebook can support 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz memory.

HP - Compaq Pavilion 15-cs1067nr | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com

The notebook has two memory slots.

I don't know what you are asking in your last question.

You can install different memory capacities in each slot (16 GB + 8 GB) for example, but unless you install matching memory capacities in each slot, the memory will only run in single channel mode.

In order for the memory to run in dual channel mode, it needs to be installed in matching capacites in each slot (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB).

You can install a DDR4-3200 MHz memory chip along with a DDR4-2400 MHz memory chip for example, but the memory will only run at 2400 MHz because that is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

The same goes for 2 x DDR4-3200 MHz memory chips.

Below is the link to the service manual:

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion 15 Laptop PC

DDR4-2400 MHz memory should be CL17, DDR4-2666 MHz memory should be CL19, DDR4-3200 MHz memory should be CL22.

Don't install memory with faster timings than those CL standards.
