@Palola, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you tried connecting an alternate compatible AC Power Adapter and check if the issue persists?
Does this issue occur only when the AC Power Adapter is connected to the Notebook?
AC Power adapters do emit high-frequency sounds (15 kHz-20 kHz) that may be misunderstood as hissing or crackling noise. This is normal and not an indication of a failing adapter.
The temperature of the adapter also may feel warm to the touch. This is a normal operation too. For more info, refer to this document.
Let us try these steps if the sound is unbearable:
Install updates using HP Support Assistant
- In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
- Check for updates.
- If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
Also, check for any pending windows update. Reboot the computer.
If the issue persists, let us run a test on the hardware components of the PC
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- Perform System Test > Extensive test. Share the result on your next post.
- You may also run a Component Test > Power > AC Adapter.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
