Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-ae011dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Early 2022, I installed Windows 11 on HP Specter 13-ae011dx, Core i7, purchased almost 4 years ago.  About a month later, I got my first notification "fan not working properly, shutdown."  The next day when I logged in, I didn't get the notice again. Should I uninstall Windows 11? Is there conclusive evidence use of Windows 11 will shorten life of laptop.  Thanks

If you were able to install Windows 11 without having to use a workaround that means it is compatible.

 

No.

There is no evidence that using Windows 11 will shorten the use of your laptop.

 

As long as you clean the intake/exhaust ports and use the battery as you should you should get a reasonable long service life from your notebook. I suspect that you probably need to clean the air vents.
