I'm installing Windows 10 on a fresh drive. I get the message "No device drivers". I can download the drivers from above but how do I put those on my Windows 10 install DVD?

Hi:
The subject of your post states that you have a HP 2740p.
If you have an 8470P, i5-3320M, then you need the drivers I have zipped up and attached below...
Follow the same guidance I posted earlier and the driver should show up this time.

Hi:
Did you test the DVD to make sure it works on another PC?
If you made the DVD, oftentimes that error occurs because of an incompletely downloaded ISO file (even if it indicates download complete), or the DVD was burned at too high of a speed.
Always burn an ISO file to a DVD at the slowest speed you can.
W10 does not need any special drivers to install on your notebook.
The only outside possibility is it needs the storage controller driver.
So check all of the above first, and if you still have no luck, let me know and I will zip and attach the storage controller driver you need.
You don't put it on the disk, you put it on a USB flash drive, and browse to it at the 'load driver' prompt.

The message is in regards to the storage device. It is on a DVD and there is nothing wrong with the download as I used it to install Windows on a DELL e6400 yesterday. I found an HP DVD on eBay and should have it this week.
Thanks for your help.

You're very welcome.
I have zipped up and attached the storage controller drivers you need for that model below.
Unzip the driver file to its folder.
Copy and paste the file contents in the folder to a USB flash drive.
Then follow the instructions to load the driver I posted the other day>click on the Load driver option shown in the screenshot below.
If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

i selected "load Driver" and then browsed to the folder where I put your drivers. But nothing is displayed. That is because it defaults to "Hide drivers that aren't compatible with this computer's hardware". If I uncheck that lots of drivers show up so I know I am accessing the USB stick OK. This is an HP EliteBook model 8470P, i5-3320M

The computer isn't marked. I got the 2740 from a guy on the internet. I got the "8470P, i5-3320M" from the BIOS. That worked. Thanks a million. I was almost ready to put it up on eBay as a non-working computer.
