Hi,
I have just done a clean reinstall of Windows 10 64 bit on a HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p077na.
I'm currently showing 2 missing drivers in device manager.
The first is:
PCI Simple Communications Controller
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3A&SUBSYS_227E103C&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 requires further installation.
The second is:
Unknown Device
ACPI\INT33A0\0
Device ACPI\INT33A0\0 requires further installation.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Regards,
Lee

You're very welcome, Lee.
The description of the driver indicates what it does, so if it is not installed, that is what will not happen.
There is no W10 driver for it on the support page.
See if this works...try manually installing the driver.
Go to the device manager. Click on the unknown device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp65233.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

Hi, Lee:
You need these drivers for those devices...
PCI Simple Communications Controller:
This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Unknown Device:
INT33A0:
This package provides the Intel Smart Connect Technology driver forsupported notebook models running a supported operating system. TheIntel Smart Connect Technology driver enables the system to resumefrom sleep mode and update supported web applications such asemail. The system enters sleep after the update is completed.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I downloaded and installed the Intel Management Engine Components Driver, which resolved the PCI Simple Communications Controller issue.
I am however still having issues with the 'Unknown Device'. I downloaded and installed the file you recommended, but it doesn't appear to have made any difference - the device still shows up as unrecognised in Device Manager.
Do you have any other suggestions?
What would be the implications if I don't install the driver?
Thanks for all your help - always appreciated.
Regards,
Lee

Yes, it worked. Thank you so much. You're a genius (I never doubted you for a minute!!)
You are without doubt the "HP MVP". Whatever they're paying you, it's not enough 😀
Thanks once again.
