Good evening. I just purchased this laptop from work as they have all upgraded to tablets. I went and reinstalled windows via the recovery usb method obtained from this site. Everything went well except I now have no network adapter at all. I cant connect to wifi nor ethernet. I've already downloaded and tried to install the network drivers listed on the site via usb stick. It still does not show. Anyone have any ideas?
HP Elitebook 840-G3
Win 7 64 bit
here is a link to a pic of my device manager
Thanks in advance

Hi:
You need this ethernet driver...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84501-85000/sp84820.exe
You need this wireless driver...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp87501-88000/sp87628.exe
If those drivers don't work, please post the hardware ID's for the Network and Ethernet controller devices you see labeled in the device manager.

Ok, I got the ethernet driver working but I cannot get the wireless to work. I got the hardware id and searched for the driver. the one I found will not install.
Hardware id: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24F3&SUBSYS_10108086&REV_3A
Could it be that I have to get all the drivers for the other missing devices in that list before I get this to work?

Hi:
Try the wifi driver directly from Intel. 1st one at the top left side of the page.
The ID you posted decodes to the Intel 8260 AC wifi adapter.
If you install the Intel chipset installation utility (listed first under the chipset drivers section), that will install most of those other devices.
