So I have a 15-d035xd that I just got second hand and I went to put in a ssd and realised that there was no fan in it, the previous owner didn't know it didn't have a fan he got it from someone else. I order the fan and when I went to install it the plug didn't fit the only available port. Through contacting the shop it was ordered from they said the port was on the other side of the board but I already took it out and flipped it over to check that and there is no port for the fan. Is it just a different version of the model or what am I missing? The port that is there is very thin and a 5 pin, the fan is only 4, I'm sure running it will eventually cause over heating which I'm trying to avoid but now it's not working at all says harddrive (3F0) so I've got to check bios, I dont get why its giving the error it worked just fine before we got it the dude even ran updates on it for us.

@ScorpoRise

Are you sure it is an HP 15-d035xd ? I believe it is an HP 15-d035dx Notebook PC, its specs

It uses a low wattage processor namely   Intel Pentium N3520 Processor with Turbo Boost up to 2.42GHz therefore it is a fanless machine - no fan at all.

It does not miss anything.

Regards.
