Hp 1000 notebook

My laptop hp 1000 notebook anda4 3330mx supports max 8gb ram in task manager it shows that 2 ram slots are there and 1 is free but when i opened it there is only what do i do will it support 8gb in single slot  (serial number-[Personal Information Removed])

Hi:

 

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, you can install an 8 GB memory chip in the single slot.

Look at the memory specs under the column labeled Computer Models Equipped with an AMD processor...

 

You may also want to do this to confirm...

 

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

 

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

 

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
