Hello,
i have a brand new notebook with integrated Mobile Broadband but i cant use it.
The Hardware is not displayed in the device manager and i installed these drivers:
I also scanned my Notebook with Tools like PCAudit but cant find any hardware for the LTE-Modul.
The SIM-Card is plugged in but dont get any option to connect to the 3G/4G Network.
I have Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise Edition installed.
Tried also different Connect Tools (Huawei & Vodafone) but nothing.
How i can check which hardware my notebook is using?
Thank you!

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about the Mobile Broadband problems and wanted to help.
Since this is a relatively new machine, instead of struggling for hours to fix it yourself, why not just let HP fix it for free!!
You should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about diagnosing and repairing your machine remotely.
I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs.

We have started to see issues with the EliteBook 840 G3 laptops when we re build them, which is about every 6 months in our company. The laptops will not install the connection manager, and we have issues with the broadband configuration.
We are using the latest software available to download. We even tried using the HP Softpaq manager to download and install the latest drivers and connection manager, however we continued to have issues.... until, we tried this last week:
Using the HP Softpaq download tool, we downloaded and installed the oldest version of the connection manager we found from HP. That version installed, and we were able to see the broadband hardware and even make a connection to using the HP Connection manager... of course though, after a few seconds, we would get disconnected with a new error message. At which point, we used the Softpaq tool again to update the HP Connection manager software to the latest version. And now, much to our content, we are finally able to get our HP EliteBook G3 laptops back out to our users.
So, download and install the oldest broadband drivers and connection manager software available from HP, then after it's installed and configured then update to the latests drivers and connection manager. Do not uninstall the old drivers and software, just run the updated installs over what you have already have installed.... this seems to have done the trick for us. Maybe the problem can be resolved completely in a future release?
