HP X27q QHD Gaming Monitor
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi!

I resently upgraded my monitor to the x27q gaming monitor. Unfortunately the refreshrate of the screen is capped at 75 Hz at 1440p, and 120 Hz at 1080p. My old monitor used the same connection (Displayport 1.2) and ran at 144 Hz 1080p. I changed nothing with my setup except the monitor. I am using a docking station for my laptop with a Displayport to USB-C Thunderbolt 3 adapter.

My specs are:

Intel® Core™ i7-10710U prosessor

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 Max-Q

Displayport to USB-C Thunderbolt 3 (Dockingstation)

I have tried a number of possible solutions including reinstalling drivers, switching cabel and using a differnt port. This is getting really frustrating. Any advice or help is greatly appriciated 🙂

@LarsAndreas,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Please make sure that you change the 144 Hz frame rate to your primary monitor.

Kind Regards,
