So, I did some googling, My laptop should have A4 AMD processor, I found a board with an A9 processor, I was wondering if I got this board and put it into this laptop would it work, oh and I didn't mention it in my last question but this laptop was my eldest brothers which he then gave to my mum , and when she got a new one he gave it to me, so its running a bit slow and theres a few upgrades Im planning on doing to it such as ram (which I've done) and a new harddrive and this idea came into my head while thinking.

Hi,
If you replace the Hard Drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD you will see a boost in the everyday performance of the PC.
You can then perform a clean install of the OS.
It is possible to replace the motherboard.
On page 71 of service manual you can see the compatible boards and part numbers
Depending on the board you would need to replace the fan and heatsink.
Usually it is just cheaper to buy a new PC with the desired specs because of the cost of the motherboard and the labour involved in replacing it.
