OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck1000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

TLDR, my laptop’s motherboard’s fan header broke, but because it doesn’t have a warranty, I can’t get in touch with someone from HP to actually figure out how to get it repaired.

About three days ago, my HP Omen 17t-ck100 laptop booted and gave me a 90B error code. I thought nothing of it as it sometimes has issues with CMOS needing to be reset, so I started it up anyways and began using it. Suddenly, I realized my fans were spinning up, sputtering out, and completely stopping. I ran a quick UEFI test, and after the fifth one or so, I received a 0XL67R-B74C0U-MFPX1F-J3GN03 error on a fan speed test.

I thought that my fan had died, and went online to find a replacement piece. I had no such luck, and ended up handing my laptop over to my local BestBuy.

BestBuy contacted me today and told me that they tested the fans outside of the system, and they were working normally. They stated that it may be an issue with the fan header on the motherboard, and suggested that I contact HP. However, I guess HP has been having some issues recently, as whenever I tried to use their contact form, it would redirect me to an account for a person by the name of Eva. Meanwhile, the app would direct me to the virtual assistant, which did nothing but go in circles trying to have me free up more space on my SSD for a fan issue.

At this point, I’m at the end of my rope. What should I do?
