Hello everyone - Greetings !

 

I have been owning a 15q-dy0001au for quite sometime now only to find the performance issue getting more and more critical with the progress of time.

 

Processor of the same is AMD Dual-Core E2-9000e.

 

It will be great to know whether there are any possibilities of upgrading the motherboard of this system. Thanks much in advance.

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC

 

Chapter 3 has the list of supported motherboards.

 

Note that it would probably be less expensive to buy a new notebook with better hardware than to try an upgrade yours.

 

Other than the cost, the motherboard part you may want to upgrade to would be difficult if not impossible to find.

 

You would also need a new heatsink, fan, etc., for the upgraded motherboard.

 

Generally, such an upgrade provides a very poor return on investment.
