I was using my laptop the one day and the next time I tired to use it, it was not working. Being a computer student I knew the motherboard has burnt. And when I tried to get the motherboard replaced they are asking for 700$ which is half the price of the laptop. Please help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing issues with the laptop not powering on.

 

Turn off the computer. Press and hold the Windows + b keys, and continue to press those keys while you press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Release the power button but continue pressing the Windows + b keys.

 

The power light remains on, and the screen remains blank for about 40 seconds before anything is displayed.

 

If there are no lights on the PC then try with an alternate charger and check if it turns on. If issue still persists then it is a hardware issue on the PC. 

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.

 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:  

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp 

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.  

4) Select the country from the drop-down.  

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.  

6) Fill the web form and proceed further.  

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
