Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Friends,

Suspected motherboard issue is preventing laptop to start with charger (power adapter) connected. Though laptop is working, battery is also not charging... it's like my expensive car is not running due to a flat tire!

Model: Pavillion 15 cs-3075cl

Prod Id: 7ZZ53UA#ABA

How can I find out which mother board is used, schematic diagram of motherboard & if it's possible to repair power ICs (in the circuit from DC connector to battery)?

Thanks a ton in advance!

Hi @Banhien,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Apologies for a dumb question - Would I need Motherboard with Windows license when my laptop does boot fine on battery power?

By any chance are you aware of schematic diagram of motherboard part no: L67285-001 (specially the part of circuit which is used to charge battery from adapter)?

Thanks a ton!

HP does not supply diagrams for notebook computers.  Motherboards now have new Windows License, you can buy motherboard w/o Windows license but if you wish to run Windows you have to buy new license.

Thanks @Banhien -I want to avoid additional cost of windows license (though OEM) when I've already paid it while buying the HP Laptop.

I am trying to see if there's a way to preserve existing Windows OEM license when I change the motherboard - probably through "Digital license" attached to a Microsoft Account.

Thanks again for your quick response, appreciate!

Hi@NirDo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand need help to install the Operating system from Flash Drive.

I'm not sure that might work.

Please find the steps to create or Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10

HP India has reached new lows.

1) Components are faulty - my laptop got 2 issues in just 1.5 years of purchase - a) Touch Display panel b) Motherboard charging circuit not working. Replacing these two components essentially meant a whole new laptop.

2) Service centers are not functioning & info on HP website about service center is out of date. HP Care folks are not able to provide any confirmed/reliable information (E.g. haven't received quotation after 4 weeks)!

Looks like HP's strategy is to help their competitors.

SOLUTION: REPLACE HP PRODUCTS with other products in Market & NEVER buy again. Thankfully customers have options!
