Hi
i have this old pavillion dv7 that i've had lying around since it started having problems.
My son and I have decided to give it life as we're in need of a project in isolation...
The laptop stopped booting up a while back. The power button came on and the fan for about a second and then would shut down for about 2 seconds and this would go on and on.
Anyway, i removed one of the 4gb memory and it booted up so i thought that's easy. Then it started doing the same thing again...
I moved the other 4gb memory to the other slot and it fired up again, It keeps doing this, all i have to do is move the memory to the other slot and it starts up.
My question is:
Is this a memory problem or a motherboard problem or is it something else or is it impossible to tell?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
