Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I bought my hp - pavilion 14-ce3514sa in January 2021. I was happy with it until two weeks ago when I heard a pop sound and I knew something was wrong and the screen went black after that. Attempts to turn it on were futile. It came on sometimes when the laptop was cool and the screen went black after a while when it heated up. I took it for repair and was told the motherboard needed to be replaced and was advised to sell the laptop for scrap to recover the cost towards a new one as the motherboard replacement cost wasn't worth it.

Upon further research online I've come to find out this is a common issue with hp pavilion models. From the cases I've seen people have experienced this problem within two years of purchase. Apparently I'm quite fortunate to have had mine for 3 years 4 months without any issues (I've got to say the laptop is extremely well maintained). The person who diagnosed the problem for mine also said he sees it all the time with HP laptops and advised I should buy a Dell laptop. I don't want to sell the laptop for scrap I believe I can get a couple of years more from the laptop. So HP prove me wrong.
