I have an hp Omen 16 notebook with the i7 in it, I would like to upgrade to the i9 12900h is this possible? also, I've had nothing but issues with this thing cooling is there any upgrades that can be done with fans to cool this down better. my motherboard is currently the 8A4D. i really need help for I'm really about to give up on HP all together.

No, that is not a simple swap. You have to buy a new System board which contains

 

   (a) New mother board.

   (b) New CPU,

  (c) New GPU,

  (d) New Windows license

 

Because all 4 components above are on one piece of hardware called System Board. This would be a very expensive upgrade. If you wish to go ahead, there are 2 choices on page 63 of the following manual
