Please can someone help?
I am looking for the two mounting brackets required to install a 2.5" SATA HDD in to my son's HP Omen 15-AX011TX. The laptop was sold with only a 256GB M.2 PCi NVMe SSD drive and an assurance that it could be upgraded by installing a 1TB 7200rpm SATA HDD.
All the different online configurations support the upgrade options, but, none of the HHD Drives for upgrade are supplied with the necessary two side mountig brackets. Additionally, I have not been able to find these brackets in HPPartSurfer. So i'm hoping
So my questions are;
1. Does anyone know what the part no. and details are and where I can order them?
or..
2. Does anyone know of another HP Laptop which uses the same or similar parts that can be substituted.
I would be very grateful for any and all assistance and suggestions...
Many thanks and Cheers, TonyG.

From the picture and the description it is brackets (plural) and yes these will work on either a 7mm or 9.5 mm thick 2.5 inch wide drive. All such drives (mechanical or solid state) follow the same pattern as to the placement of mounting holes and connectors so this is universal, generic.
It is two plastic "rails" that adapt the drive into the mounting socket inside the laptop chassis. They are also somewhat flexible so absorb shock. They bolt onto the drive using the mounting holes and engage the locking flanges inside the drive bay.
Not sure how else to describe. It can't really explain how I somehow interpret the manuals more clearly than some of the local on the ground people. I can't speak to why the NZ person could not read the manual....it is clearly the right manual and this is certainly the right part.

HP does assign a "spare" number to the brackets:
Hard drive cable 858969-001
Hard drive brackets 913937-001
Here is your Service Manual, see p. 39:
And they are available for under $20 plus shipping:
Do you also need the cable?

Thank you very much for your reply and the part number necessary. I live in New Zealand and I am not sure if the USA HP Store will let me order the part online and then ship it to me. Local agency agreements, etc. But, I will try as the local online HP Store show both parts as being unavailable and on back order.
I have two follow-up questions please.
1. Is the part HDD brackets 913937-001 a single bracket or supplied as a pair ?
FYI... The local NZ HP Parts & Servicing Agent was not able to see this part at all. All they got was a part reference to
a replacement HDD with brackets attached and when visually checked DID NOT have any brackets attached.
2. I have received a suggestion from the local HP Parts & Servicing Agent to install an Internal 2.5" SATA3 1TB 7mm
SSD unit (for much improved performance). Apparently there are approriate units that can be used. I was wondering
if you could confirm that as it is a 2.5" unit and Chapter 1/Page 5 of the manual states "Supports all 7mm/9.5mm,
SATA 2.5" Hard Drives" that these brackets you have identified above are suitable?
KIndest regards, TonyG
