Hello... I was playing gzdoom recently and I noticed something very peculiar... my left click key (for shooting) was sticking and/or not responding... or at least not always responding...
I have in the past had my mouse become unresponsive... I have a work around to having a shortcut on the desktop that closes and then reopens the SynTPEnh.exe... and another shortcut that I can quickly access the mouse properties to reset it... so... I did that... and it didn't seem to resolve the matter.
The touchpad issue of before was/is mostly manageable...
This left-click issue however is not manageable far as I can see?
Any ideas on what I can do to resolve and/or manage it?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
HP Laptop left mouse button not working. Access your device manager once there go down to the section mice and other pointing devices.
Expand that section then right-click on Synaptics touchpad, then left-click on properties.
Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04648748 to know more about Using the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 10)
- Note: If touchpad functionality is not responding correctly only while playing games then it should be game compatibility
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for the link, otherwise I am not sure what you are asking me to do...
I can assure you that gzdoom and this computer/mouse worked just fine maybe... three or four months ago? So I think it ought to work just fine. And to be very candid with you I think its a very bad mouse that can't click correctly... its literally its only job.

Thank you for posting back.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: ( do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating )
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629 if this fails you can perform Microsoft system restore.
System Restore returns your computer to the files and settings from the restore point. Your personal files and documents are not affected.
