HI, coudl someone know if the reason why my optical mouse product called "Mouse ottico wireless argento 2,4 GHz HP" doesn't work because my notebook has an "operating system" of 2.20 GHz?
Thanks

The issue is not the speed of the processor (2.2GHz). The mouse uses the 2.4GHz radio band to communicate, this is different than the processor speed.
It appears the mouse you have is the one here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02003864
I would suggest you check the two AA batteries in the mouse are OK. Also, make sure the mouse receiver is plugged into a USB port and that the mouse is within a few feet of the receiver. Note the receiver is made to fit inside the mouse for storage, make sure it is removed from the mouse and plugged into the computer.

Thank you for your reply but unfortunatey I have already checked all the poits below...my mouse is similar to the one you were referring but is not that one, is this one:
I have also dowloaded the driver but this is not working, it actually never worked in the past ,so that was probabily an issue from the beginnig..that's why I though about the radio band.
When I plug the usb into the pc the light on the whell is flashing, but don't undertand why.
DO you know if i spossbile to change the usb key?
Thanks
Best Regards
Leila

[Sorry for the delay, I missed your response.] The light blinking indicates the mouse and controller are not making contact. You might try using a different USB port on the computer. Use a USB 2.0 port if you have one available on your computer rather than a USB 3.0 port. Also, put the mouse close to the USB dongle during pairing. I would also suggest removing the battery and reinstalling the battery.
If this does not resolve the issue it is time for a new mouse. I have not seen the dongle parts sold separately.
