Hello,
Everytime I start my computer, my mouse does not appear and I have to reset the mouse settings to fix this. I do this by going to Settings>Mouse>Additional Mouse Options>Reset Devices
How can I fix this?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand mouse profile settings aren't being saved,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you install any recent updates that could have caused these issues?
While you respond to that,
I have few steps to sort this out:
-
Hold down the Windows key and press R
-
Into the Run, box type Regedit and hit enter
-
In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following
-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install
-
Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade
-
If this is present, right-click the key and select Modify
-
Set the Value data field to 0 (Zero) and then click Ok.
-
Close the Registry Editor.
-
Make the Profile setting changes you require in the usual way and save them, then check if they're now retained after a reboot or from waking up the PC from sleep/hibernation mode.
If you would like to thank me for my efforts to help you,
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,
Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" button for my efforts to help you.
Have a great day!
