I bought a Multi Port Travel Hub from the HP Store on AMAZON.. firstly mislead because the specification said it required Lithium batteries, which lead me to the conclusion I could also use it as a power source (which I now find is complete nonsense).
Then I'm told by HP Support (and in the documentation) that I can power it by an HP 90w Power Adapter ... so I buy one... obviously I'm going to have use the female USB c port rather than the male USB c lead , because the power adapter lead is male.... HP Support tell me " YES, that's right... both USB C ports can passthrough power" .... Well I've got news for HP !!!! WELL MINE DOESN'T !!!!!!
The only way I can get the white LED illuminated is by connecting the male lead to a PC or a Tablet and use its power... rather defeating the objective of extend the PC or Tablets power.
And before you tell me to install any DRIVERS ..... Check .... There aren't any !!!!!!!!

I have a 2023 , HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f2000 (74R50AV) which has a 135W power adapter with a round bayonet fitting. In addition I have an HP 90W USB-c power adapter with male USB c connector which I expected would be able to power the Hub independently of a PC connection, which it won't.
If my phone is plugged into the Hub A port, the hub plugged into the 90W adapter and my Laptop (NOT attached to the 135W power adapter) ... the phone charges , as soon as I disconnect the Laptop on the Hubs USB C lead , the phone stops charging!!!!
Here is an extract from the HP Store on AMAZON UK (obviously Total Nonsense)
