Well, my keyboard has several keys not working. Those are the b, n, caps lock, and f8 keys. I run Linux Mint, so drivers are always very new compared to Ubuntu LTS. When I use an external keyboard, everything works fine on it. I have been using Onboard (The on-screen keyboard in Linux Mint) to type this. I have cleaned under all the keys to see if that was my issue. It was not. How can I get this fixed?

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve keyboard issues caused by temporary glitches.
Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the keyboard for any physical damage, such as spills, crumbs, or loose keys. If you find any debris, try cleaning the keyboard with compressed air and a soft brush.
Test in Safe Mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode (if the keys work here, it might indicate a software conflict or driver issue). To enter Safe Mode in Windows, restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 key or Shift+F8 during the boot process. In some newer versions of Windows, you may need to use the Windows Recovery Environment to access Safe Mode.
Check for Driver Updates:
- Go to the HP website and search for your laptop model.
- Download and install the latest keyboard and chipset drivers for your laptop.
- Restart your laptop after installing the drivers.
Use an External Keyboard: Connect an external USB keyboard to your laptop and check if it works. If it does, it may indicate a hardware issue with your laptop's built-in keyboard.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Open the Windows Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
- Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

Create a New User Profile: Create a new user profile and check if the keyboard works there. If it does, your original user profile might be corrupted.
Check for Physical Hardware Issues: If none of the above solutions work, there may be a hardware problem with the keyboard or its connection to the laptop's motherboard. In this case, you may need to contact HP support or a professional technician for repair or replacement.
