Hi @GoldenOne1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If multiple keys on your HP Pavilion x360's keyboard are not working, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check for Physical Damage

  • Inspect the keyboard for any visible debris or damage.
  • Clean between the keys with compressed air or a soft brush to ensure no dirt or dust is causing the problem.

Reboot the Laptop

  • Sometimes a simple restart can fix temporary glitches in hardware recognition.

Check Keyboard Drivers

  • Update or reinstall the keyboard drivers:
    • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Keyboards section.
    • Right-click your keyboard and choose Update driver or Uninstall device (if uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically).

Test in BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and repeatedly press F10 to enter the BIOS.
  • Try typing in the BIOS to see if the keys work there. If they do, it's likely a software issue within Windows.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Run the Keyboard troubleshooter to detect and resolve common issues.

Check for Software Conflicts

  • Some third-party programs might interfere with the keyboard. Try booting into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists:
    • Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
    • Go to the Boot tab, check Safe boot, and restart the computer.
    • Test the keyboard in Safe Mode.

External Keyboard Test

  • Plug in an external USB keyboard to see if the issue persists. If the external keyboard works fine, the internal keyboard might be faulty.

Perform a System Restore

  • If the problem started recently, try performing a system restore to a point when the keyboard was functioning properly:
    • Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore.

Hardware Repair

  • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it could indicate a hardware failure in the keyboard. In this case, the keyboard may need to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
