HP Pavilion Laptop PC 13-bb0000 (9WG28AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I can NOT charge my laptop. I tried a different cord and 2 different outlets and still nothing. The laptop is now completely dead, because I didn't notice the issue. What is the issue... charging port... battery??

Please help. I am a Homeschooling mom, and I rely on it for teaching.

Hi,

When you say, you tried a different cord, do you mean a whole different HP ac adapter?

When you attach the ac adapter does the charging LED come on?

You say the notebook does not charge. When you attach the power cord does the notebook start?

You can also try a power reset. Hold the power button for about 20 seconds and see if anything changes. Probably not.

Let us know,

David

Yes, it was another HP Ac Adapter. Both my son and daughter have an HP.

When I attached the adapter, the light does NOT come on or even start.

No changes after holding the power button for 20 seconds either.

   Thank

Ok.

You will need to take it to a repair shop and see why power is not arriving.

It could be the internal power connector, battery, or even motherboard.

This is the complete procedure for power reset

You could try removing the battery and then placing it back in again.

You could try replacing the power cord

Hope it helps,
