have a few HP computers. When I query the BIOS info on my tablet, it is the only computer I have that doesn't match my Model number or should I say, it is ambiguous. Examples are: K039 which matches, J073cl which matches. But on my tablet I have a HP Notebook x2 - 10-p018wm. when I query the info or even look it up in windows settings, it doesn't match.
WMIC csproduct list
shows the same thing as in windows settings. I get something like this. that I will post, but I don't know why they made the bios like that and all updates never fix the problem
When I query the BIOS, I get this
HP Notebook detachable - 10-p0xx
How in the world is that supposed to help to download drivers. it's so stupid they put XX for my needed numbers to look up my drivers.
When I query my J073cl, I get J073cl and when I query my K039, I get K039 from the BIOS . When I look at the BIOS info, it matches my model number. But for my 2n1 detachable, the BIOS say HP Notebook detachable - 10-p0xx, and not HP Notebook x2 - 10-p018wm. Apparently, the idiot that wrote the software, forgot to add my model numbers in the BIOS updates.
