Alright. So for the past couple of weeks now i noticed whenever i put my laptop to charge when the battery is low i plug it in, it charges up but for some reason it stops charging after a certain percentage. At first it stopped charging at around 80% then stopped charging aroun 70% then 60% now 50%. im worried becasue i am not sure whats wrong with the battery and it's affect the length of time i can use my computer for to complete work. whenever this happens i would always check the HP Assistant Diagnostics and it would say my battery is okay.
I tried looking up other forms for options such as taking it off and starting it in diagnostics mode , or calibrate or something like that as well as options that involve removing the battery. The battery on my PC is not removeable i think unless you unscrew the underside of it i do not wish to tamper with it.
My warrenty is also expired since i have the computer for over a year if anyone can assist me in this problem i would greatly appriciate it as i do not wis to spend any unnecessary money fixing a computer i didnt too long own.
Incase if you want to message me personally send it via email
Model: HP Pavalion x360 Convertable PC
Email: [Personal Information Removed]
i will see the rely faster via email as i tend to forget this sometimes. Again Thank you in Advance and i hope someone can help me resolve this issue as i do not have the money to make repairs

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the battery doesn't charge after a certain point,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you attempted to reinstall the battery drivers?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
I have a few steps listed below that should help you resolve this concern:
- Unplug the charge and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.
- Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.
- Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager,
- Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
If the issue persists, check with an alternate adapter and if that doesn't work either, it would confirm a hardware malfunction within the charging port and you will need to Contact HP to repair the device:
HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:
* Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
* Enter Product number or select to auto detect
* Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
* Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get a Case & phone number.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty repair services under the manufacturer's warranty will be free of charge.

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
To re-iterate, you need to wait for the battery to drain until it reaches 15%,
Then turn off the device, leave it off for about 30 mins, restart it and then uninstall/reinstall the battery drivers as advised on my last post.
