Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Use a second computer with Internet access to create a BIOS recovery USB flash drive and then try to flash the BIOS

  1. Insert a blank USB flash drive into an available port on the second computer.

  2. Go to HP Software & Driver Downloads.

  3. If a Let's identify your product to get started page displays, click Laptop.

  4. Type the product name for the original computer in the search field, and then click Submit.

  5. If a Matching products webpage opens, select your product name from the list.

  6. In the operating system section, click Change.

  7. Use the drop-down menus to select the original operating system that came with the original computer, and then click Change again.

  8. From the list, find the BIOS category, and then click the plus sign + to expand the category.

CAUTION: Read the Details section to confirm that the BIOS update is more recent then the one installed on the original computer and that it applies to the computer. Installing the wrong BIOS could cause the computer to stop working.
    • If the update is correct, click Download, and then click Run.

    • If the update is not correct, view details of other BIOS update in the list. If there are no other updates, the computer does not require a BIOS update.

    • If the BIOS is not in the list of available software, an update is currently unavailable.

  9. Click Yes on the User Account Control screen.

  10. On the InstallShield Wizard window, click Next.

  11. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and then

  12. Select Create Recovery USB flash drive, and then click Next.click Next.

  13. In the HP BIOS Update and Recovery window, click Next.

  14. Select your USB flash drive, and then click Next.

  15. Wait while the BIOS files copy to the USB flash drive.

  16. When The recovery flash drive was created successfully displays, click Finish.

  17. Click Cancel to close the update utility.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
